Some of the most common questions I get from people who want to live off dividends but don’t have millions saved up revolve around what kinds of investments would be most appropriate. Although mainstream news outlets will try and tell you that you’ll need millions to live comfortably off dividends, the truth is, if you’ve been watching my channel for awhile, you’re well aware you can make a lot of money from dividends with less than half a million saved up. The tricky part is that a lot of the investments that allow you to do this don’t receive a lot of attention from more traditional news outlets. Many people who get discouraged once they find out how much they’ll really need to invest to live off dividends from a 1%-yielding investment quit dividend investing altogether. So in this video, I’m gonna briefly go over what I’d consider to be some of the most crucial types of investments an income holder should have in their portfolio to live off dividends. I’m also gonna give some specific suggestions as to what holdings investors should consider for each investment type.
